Marter is the author of three books: Theodore Roszak, The Drawings, Alexander Calder and Jose de Rivera Constructions and three book-length catalogues, including Off Limits: Rutgers University and the Avant-Garde, 1957-63. Joan Marter with her former advisor, Professor Emeritus Wayne CravenÄr. Marter is President of the Dorothy Dehner Foundation for the Visual Arts, on the board of the Ora Lerman Charitable Trust, and serves on the Board of Directors of the College Art Association. She was cited for her scholarship, museum curatorship, teaching, mentoring (including students at UD) and service on various boards. Joan Marter, who earned master's and doctoral degrees in art history at the University of Delaware in 19, was inducted into the Alumni Wall of Fame on Friday, May 7, 2004. ![]()
